Last but certainly not least, don't be surprised if Magic Eraser doesn't always look perfect. The tool's only available on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, but it's not limited to editing photos taken with the phones. It's also worth mentioning that Magic Eraser works with any picture in Google Photos. Whether it's a photo someone shot with the Pixel 6, an older Galaxy S device, or even an iPhone - Magic Eraser works just the same. If someone uses Magic Eraser but isn't happy with the result, tap the undo arrow near the bottom of the screen to reverse the effect. Simply scribble on or circle the unwanted item, and it'll be gone in seconds. If Google doesn't highlight any suggestions to remove, users can still use Magic Eraser to delete whatever they'd like. That's how Magic Eraser works in its simplest form, but there are a few other tidbits to keep in mind while using it. Tap the 'Done' button to confirm the edit, tap 'Save copy,' and the edited image with Magic Eraser is saved as a copy of the original picture. Tap these suggestions, and they're Thanos snapped from the image just like that. Here's how it works: Open the Google Photos app on a Pixel 6 or 6 Pro, tap on a picture, tap 'Edit,' tap 'Tools,' and tap 'Magic eraser.' Google Photos automatically looks for things to remove and highlights them with a white outline. Whether it's someone walking in the background, a car, trash can, or anything else, Magic Eraser gets rid of these things in the blink of an eye. Using a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, Magic Eraser allows Pixel 6 users to instantly remove unwanted things from their photos. Perhaps the most exciting camera feature for these phones is Magic Eraser. Along with Google's great HDR and night mode, the Pixel 6 handsets also introduce things like Face Unblur and Real Tone (a new processing technique that aims to better represent people with darker skin tones). Those sensors are also joined by continually outstanding software. Both Pixels have 50MP primary cameras and 12MP ultra-wide cameras, while the 6 Pro gets an exclusive 48MP telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom. Google went all-out with its camera hardware this year. If you have multiple layers, activate the topmost layer and create a stamped copy of all visible layers by pressing Shift-Option-Command-E.As with any Pixel, though, the biggest draw to the Pixel 6 phones is the camera experience. If you’re working with a single-layered document, duplicate the layer by pressing Command-J. To ensure you’ve got plenty of background pixels for Photoshop to work with, do the pixel-zapping before cropping. Open an image with a medium-to-large sized object to delete, like this light post. (As of this writing, Photoshop Elements’ Fill command has a content-aware option, but it lacks a Patch tool.) Removing objects with Content-Aware Fill In this column, you’ll learn how to use both options safely, without destroying your original image. But what if you need to use another area of your photo for the fix instead of surrounding pixels? That’s where the Patch tool shines. If you’ve got plenty of background pixels surrounding the thing you want to zap, you can quickly send it packin’ with the Fill command’s Content-Aware option. When it comes to removing objects in your pictures, nothing (yet) beats the power of Adobe Photoshop CC.
